THE STORY:
Christine’s role as an intern was the curation and creation of visual art using a diverse range of mediums in the process. A series of events were held for women over a twelve month period.  Because of the extensive timespan and Christine’s passionate commitment and artistic involvement, a large body of artwork had formed. Each event was centered around a theme established on a specific scripture. During this internship, she participated in a 2 week mission trip to India. Some of the key aspects of the trip was to share her faith story and design a creative workshop for the women who were attending the organized events in different regions of India. This involved the hand printing and stitching of numerous layers and layers of paper handiworks in her studio, prepared prior to departure. In India, every woman, young and old, came together to create and make their own personal journal. It was a special time of connection, joy and creative exploration.

THE DESIGN WORK:
Visual art – using various forms such as painting, printmaking, drawing, collage, photography, filmmaking, graphic design, art installations, stage setting & styling, and interactive art play.
