THE STORY

Intermix Design is a multifaceted design studio that brings together various creative disciplines to develop distinctive concepts and designs for architectural projects across both exterior and interior environments.

Our team combines expertise in Landscape Design and Construction, Therapeutic and Sustainable Horticulture, Surface Design (Visual Arts), and Nutritional Science. This unique blend of knowledge enables us to create thoughtful, innovative spaces across a wide range of projects, including residential, commercial, exhibitions, and events.

At Intermix Design, we believe that every space should tell a story. We create environments that engage the senses, evoke emotion, and inspire connection. Whether a space feels quietly reflective, thought-provoking, uplifting, or vibrant, our aim is to craft experiences that leave a lasting impression. We embrace influences from different design eras, weaving together history, craftsmanship, and personality to create timeless, meaningful spaces.

Intermix Design evolved from Landart Aust Pty Ltd, founded in 1992 as a specialist landscape design, construction, project management, and horticulture company. Building on this strong foundation, Intermix Design was established to offer a broader creative vision that integrates art, design, and nature.

Curated by Christine, who brings more than 30 years of experience across multiple design disciplines, the studio is driven by a passion for originality and creative expression. “Our vision is to offer an original and exciting approach to art and design.”

Over the years, we have led multidisciplinary teams and collaborated with architects, designers, developers, artisans, local councils, tradespeople, suppliers, and clients. These experiences have shaped our collaborative approach, enabling us to build strong relationships and deliver projects with creativity, professionalism, and care.

Our extensive travels to culturally rich destinations, combined with sourcing products for outdoor environments and working alongside skilled artisans using traditional techniques, have fostered a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and authentic design. These experiences continue to inspire our work, influencing the stories we tell through our spaces and reflecting our curiosity, imagination, and passion for creating environments that are both beautiful and enduring.
