THE STORY:
The old weatherboard house had seen better days, she was too far gone to retain, however, a new build honored her heritage that complemented the street of distinct victorian style – she has awakened once again. She is now adorned with manicured structured formal gardens that people admire and stop to “smell the roses” and say hello to the queen of the house “Cleo the cat”. Inside reflects a more contemporary taste, decorated with objects, paintings and rugs that have been acquired from the dwellers travels, to remind them of these precious times – tokens from Sinai desert, to Pompeii and even parts of the Berlin wall. Enter into the backyard that showcases Australian elements, a rusted banksia wall that lights up at night – a cathartic experience to watch. Kangaroo paws flourish by the daybed, a relaxing space to reside and lounge. This is the place in which the dwellers love to live and call home.
